I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications, majoring in Public Relations. My qualifications in the field of mass communications have naturally led me into journalism and publications and I am currently Group Copywriter of three companies in Malaysia. My companies target the property, food & beverage and entertainment industries and the services required of me are press releases, invitations, statements to the media, advertorials, ad copy, speeches for the management, contribute write-ups to in-house publications, conceptualise creative ideas for marketing campaigns, etc.

I also attribute my professional and creative writing skills to my ‘O’ LEVELS certification from Singapore and an IELTS Band 7 qualification. These qualifications and an accumulated experience have enabled to handle stringent academic tests to successfully write for Malaysia’s popular English daily newspaper, the Star. There was also a one-time experience when I was asked to contribute an article to NewMan magazine, which was published as a feature a few years back.

While I was still a Star news writer, I interviewed Heads of Departments and Ministers for the Star business and Metro sections. An invitation was sent to me by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to travel to Singapore on a media invite to experience and write a feature about the food, culture, retail and night entertainment there.

I also possess prior web writing experience when I wrote articles for travel and tourism, helping StreetDirectory.net.my (a company based in Singapore) to set up their Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia base online.

Thank you for your time.
